The Learning Umbrella

Well, still no call home from the boys in Mexico.  They were going to meet family, so someone would have called me if they didn’t get there?  Right?  I’ve never gone more than a day without talking to Carbon before, and I feel sick to my stomach with worry and missing him.

This is somewhat typical of my husband, so I’m not ready to call the consulate or anything.  I’ve called all the family members who are not down there, and no one knows how to reach the Mazatlan house.  I guess there is no phone.  But they can call using a pay phone, so he still has no good excuse for putting me through this.  Ooooohhhhh!  I’m mad.  When he was deployed to Iraq for a year, I had to spend lots of time worrying about him because he was bad about checking in regularly.  But he needs to learn to check in.  Isn’t it normal for people to check in when they are away?  Especially if you’ve got the kids with you!  I don’t need a call everyday, but ONE would have been nice!
