Boarding school

We are sitting together reading Paddington Bear for the 100th time, and I read that Mr. and Mrs. Brown are waiting for their daughter Judy to come home from school on the train.
Carbon: “Why would school be so far away that she had to ride the train?”
Me: “She probably went to boarding school.”
Then I had to explain what boarding school is - and as I went his face became more and more horrified.
Then he cried: “I don’t ever want to go to boarding school!”
