a couple memes

I’ve been tagged for a couple memes, so I’ll go ahead and do those today.

I was tagged for this one by Mind Games and Ragamuffin Rosie.

Six Unimportant Things:

Rules: (1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

1.  I was thrilled the first time I got tagged for a meme.

2.  I feel it’s very important to fold bath towels in half width-wise before folding them in half length-wise, then in half again for the cupboard.  That way they are ready to hang on the rack when I pull them out.

3.  I don’t have a dishwasher, and I wash dishes by hand about five times a day.

4.  I have trouble keeping my ear piercings open because I wear earrings so rarely.

5.  I can’t sun tan, but I burn really easily.  I have lots of freckles and moles, and I’m scared of skin cancer.

6.  I get stressed when it comes time to tag people for memes – will they be mad if I tag them?  If I don’t?  Aaaahhh……..

In light of number 6, I’m not going to tag six people.  So no one is under any obligation to do this meme.  But if I was going to tag six people, I’d tag: Angela, Real World Martha, Cathy, Kiva, RegularMom, and Heather.

And then RegularMom tagged me for another meme, a little Q&A on Blogging:

How Long Have You Been Blogging?

Just over 2 years.  My first post was in Oct. 2005.

What inspired you to start your blog, and who are your mentors?

I actually started blogging because my husband thought I should in connection with the website I was trying to launch.  I was inspired early on by MotherCrone’s Homeschool, and later I’ve been helped so much by Andrea here at Homeschooljournal.

Are you trying to make money online, or are you doing this just for fun?

I used to be trying to make money, but that just didn’t work for me.  Now I’m just doing this for fun, for support, for community, for ideas, and for inspiration.

What 3 things do you love about being online?
The people, the ideas, and the chance for self-expression.

Because turn-around is fair, I’ll tag: Ragamuffin Rosie and Mind Games.
