TV Turn-Off Week, Day One
Apr 21st, 2008 by learningumbrella
Today is the first day of turning off our TV. So far, no one has requested that it be turned on. We have a huge box of hand-me-down puzzles and games and craft kits from my brother’s household, and we have new baby chicks in the kids’ bedroom sitting under a heat lamp. So much entertainment!
However, there is a problem, because Daycare Boy brought a movie from home that he wants to share with the other kids. I told all the families about this week in the newsletter I send home, but they forgot. And he just got this movie in the mail from his grandma, and he’s still really excited about it. It’s The Waterhorse, which is one Carbon has been asking to see - I think there will be an exception made today and they’ll get to watch the movie.
Tonight I’ll miss Dancing with the Stars, which is too bad because that is how I get DH to put the kids to bed on Mondays and let me have some down-time with my dancing show. I have a friend’s daughter coming here after school and staying until bedtime, so today is going to be a long work day for me.

LOL, I am not unplugging completely so I don’t miss
“Deadliest Catch” lol.
I wanted to see Waterhorse…let us know how it is.
