Happy 4th of July!
Jul 4th, 2008 by learningumbrella
It’s dinnertime here, and so far I’ve already burned my thumb! That’s what the 4th is all about, giving yourself a minor burn while playing with colored gunpowder in cardboard tubes.
We’ve also been hooking up my new hot tub. It’s a gift hot tub, and it didn’t come with any directions or anything. So DH has been futzing with stuff for a while, grounding the outlet on the porch, and trying to figure out which tube goes where. I think it’s finally done. I’m going to love soaking in it later this week! Now I have to figure out how to maintain the darn thing.
I hope all my American blog readers have a wonderful Independence Day, and that all my worldwide readers (do I have any, other than Canada?) have a lovely day.

What a good day! Getting a hot tub in and everything– oooooo la la! Sounds great.
We didn’t do much to celebrate ourselves, but the happenings around here were really hard to figure out, and we didn’t want to get stuck somewhere with two cranky tots. Plus, it’s been pouring all day.
I hope you have lots of fun the rest of tonight! I remember how loud and bright it got out in the ol’ hood on the 4th! I was always scared someone was going to accidently light our house on fire, but you are so much braver than I playing around with the ‘works yourself.
Anyway, I had a suuuuper lazy week, so gotta get to work early in the morning to make up for it. We are sooo behind on teacher recruitment. Bleh! Makes me feel guilty for being lazy this week. Off to bed…have a good one.
Happy 4th! Enjoy the new hot tub.
