Free art

I’m frequently amazed at what kids will do when given a pile of art supplies and no instructions. Our summer RE program has “art days” scheduled, in which the kids spend the whole 45 minutes making art. They are asked to make the art a response to our Earth Scouts badge/issue, but that is a pretty loose directive.
Yesterday I was especially impressed with the art day. It was in response to the salmon story I described before, and kids had some very cool responses. I didn’t capture them all on film, as I had to focus on things like glitter spills and hand washing, but I did get a couple good pictures.

Oh wow! I love the sculpture!
Geez, no picture of Sylvia’s “Tactile Experience Glitter Mountain” tribute to Pacific Northwest salmon?
That pipe cleaner hat was pretty amazing.
