Most years, the 4th of July finds us out on the Puget Sound at my in-law’s cabin. It’s a beautiful spot, away from the crazy war of fireworks that goes on in our neighborhood. This year was particularly lovely weather, as well.

For Carbon’s family/adult birthday party, we had the extended family over to our house and had a Wii Tournament. Carbon picked the events, and he made medals ahead of time that the winners could be awarded. It was good-spirited competition, and lots of fun.
