I have to admit, I think I looked at the title of your post about 5 times before my eyes actually read "digester" and not "disaster"! You might keep a can of saw dust or wood shavings handy to layer, if it gets too stinky. That's what they used in outhouses way back when...

I get SAD every year but this is my first PNW Fall. I'm a bit worried because we didn't even have a Summer.

I like your idea of getting outside everyday regardless of the weather. I try and run outside unless the weather is intolerable.

The house mess gets me down as well. I'm sure it will get better as you reap the benefit of not being home all day with a half a dozen little children.

I get depressed this time of year because I miss fall :( I know the Northwest can be hard that way. I still miss it though. Better trade places. The sun never goes away here.

Awesome list! P was not into Muti's book either, although she liked the pictures. ;-)
The cat one will go on our funny book list for sure!
Computer woes have kept me quiet, but it was nice to get a moment to pop in over here and visit with you.
Hope your SAD gets some light...my DH has it too, although not yet this year.

Sounds like you've identified some good solutions -- knit, hike, decorate/be festive. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I'm so glad you're taking care of yourself by dividing household responsibilities (you're working full time, too!). When your guys get a routine established after a couple weeks it will be much more automatic, and therefore easier. It's awesome that you're giving Carbon real chores, too...when he's grown up he'll realize how fortunate he is to know how to take care of himself. Good luck!

Sounds like a good first step anyway. Like any plan, you probably need to see how it goes and then tweak.
